Karen Little
Education: Karen graduated from nursing school at Eastern Utah in 1996, she also attended Salt Lake Community College and Utah University.
Work Experience: Karen has years of nursing experience, she started in long term care, Alzeimers unit, and then worked 2 years in intensive care unit at LDS Hospital, she then took a job as a charge nurse in acute care unit at AHA View Hospital for 10 years, Following that experience Karen took a job at Zion's Way as a Hospice Case Manager which position she held for 3 years until becoming the Clinical Hospice Director at Zion's Way since August 2011.
Family: Karen has been happily married for 12 years to Lance Little. Together they have 2 cute dogs; "Pooh-Bear"a 3 year old English Foxhound puppy and a labrador retriever "Gizmo."
Hobbies: Karen loves to shop, especially on the internet, she enjoys tv shows especially tv court/legal shows, Karen also is a big Jazz fan, BYU fan! (husband's fault), enjoys reading and listening to music.
Jason Olsen
Jason graduated from Dixie State College with honors with an associates of applied sciences in nursing. He currently is enrolled in DSC, BSN program. Jason has worked for westates theaters as a house manager for 2 years while going to dixie state college for A&N once he graduated he began his career with Zion's Way. Jason is currently single, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, running, reading, scuba diving, and strength training.
Marisa Moses
Marisa moved from Southern California with her daughter in 2005 has worked in the health care industry ever since. She has been at Zion’s Way as the Hospice Admission Coordinator since 2008. She enjoys working for Zion’s Way and knowing our amazing team is here to help people in their time of need.
Shannon Wood
Education: AAS from Dixie State College, ADN from Mohave Community College.
Work Experience: 6 and half years as a CNA. 3 and half years in med/surg nursing. Shannon had been with Zion's Way since April of 2011.
Family: My family consists of 7 dogs.
Hobbies: Hiking, scuba diving, antique restoration, and travel.
Kamie Jo James
Education: Associates of science- snow college Ephraim, UT / BS Nursing at University of Alaska Anchorage.
Work Experience: Served 18 months Church Mission(LDS) in Belize/El Salvador. Kamie has worked for Utah County Health Dep. Timpanogos Regional Hospital-ICU. Urology Clinic in Alaska, and County View Manor in Provo, UT.
Family: Married but currenty no children yet. Kamie has 3 brothers and sisters and one of her brother's is her twin.
Glessie Brown
Glessie attended Ilocos Sui Community College and Everett Community College in Everett, WA. Glessie has worked as a CNA at ZWHH, Providence Regional Medical Center for 4 years, Bethany of the Northwest for 7 months, community support specialist at Sunrise Services, INC. Office Assistant at Grayson Associates for 2 years. Glessie has 4 children, 2 married, one on a mission, one studying at the U of U. Glessie enjoys walking, reading, and cooking.
Emily Bishop
Emily has a BA from Brigham Young University where she graduated in 2009 and currently is a nursing student at mohave community college and will graduate in 2013. Emily has been a CNA for Zion's Way since June 2010. Before working for Zion's Way Emily worked at BYU worker's compensation specialist from 2007-2009 and Kanab Elementary Sped Ed assistant from 2009-2011. Emily has two terrefic parents and 5 amazing siblings, and 14 fantastic nieces and nephews, she enjoys running, reading nursing textbooks, and embroidery.
Dirk Shumway
Dirk graduated from the University of Utah with a masters degree in clinical social work and a bachelors degree in psychology from SUU. Dirk has 17 years experience providing counseling to people experiencing grief, trauma, and emotional pain. Dirk is happily married and has two daughters who all love living in the St. George area. His two daughters are also volunteers for Zions Way.
Sandy Meissner
Education:
Sandy has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing From the University of South Florida, Tampa.
Work Experience:
Sandy has over 30 years experience in all areas of Nursing including Hospice and Management.
Family:
Sandy retired from military life as an AF wife, she lives in Cedar City with her husband, 2 sons, and 3 dogs.
