My name is Donell De marquessa and I have been a Massage Therapist at Green Valley Spa since 1998, after graduating, Vala Victorian from Sensory Development Institute of the same year.

My journey into the world of the healing arts really began back in 1992 with my first training in energy work. I completed Level 1&2 and received a Master Certificate in Reiki. My intention then was to use this only to help family and friends. Then, in 1996 I received the most amazing, life changing and deeply relaxing massage imaginable: Hawaiian Temple Body Work. During that massage it was like a Shamanic journey through bodywork that connected me with a deep inner knowing that I must learn to give to others in this same nurturing way for my own inner healing and spiritual journey. I was blessed with the opportunity to apprentice for 6 months in this powerful Hawaiian Kahuna approach to bodywork. And since that time I went to Kauai and trained under a fourth generation Kahuna, Kahu Abraham and his wife Ho'o kahi.

In Ancient times this massage was performed by the Kahuna's for many hours and only for the royalty. It was part of their sacred ceremonies and was designed, using drumming and chanting for profound healing of mind, body and spirit.

Since then my journey has been to offer my skills at Green Valley Spa in St. George Utah. I have trained and certified in many modalities over the years.

One of my most recent trainings and new journey in spiritual growth has been in Sound Healing with the Acutonics tuning Forks and Tibetan Singing Bowls. I have been working with Zions Way Hospice since Dec 2009 and I have been playing the beautiful sounds of these ancient instruments for patients and caregivers in their homes and Care-Centers.
