Zion's Way  Hospice:

  • Incorporated on August 8, 2005
  • Carol Citte and Shirley Haslam were the original co-founders.
  • First office was opened in St. George on September 2, 2005.
  • We began serving patients in November of 2005
  • We passed our survey and received our Medicare number on March 23, 200

Name and Logo

Zion's Way Hospice:

  • "Zion's " means the pure way, God's Way, or a ceremony.

We wanted our cares at the end of life to be a ceremony of love and compassion.

Eagle:

  • Shirley has a great love for Eagles, so it was chosen as the company logo.

The Eagle represents strength, beauty and the ablility to go to greater heights.

We strive to raise the level of care and services offered to our patients to a greater level.

Complementary Cares

  • Carol had experience with Guided Imagery
  • Shirley had experience in music and energy work
  • Our first complimentaries included:
  1. Massage
  2. Energy Work
  3. Guided Imagery
  4. Music-First on CD but a Harpist was hired
  5. Pet Therapy- A loving Golden Retriever

Zion's Way Home Health

  • Incorporated on June 18, 2007
  • We passed our survey and received our Medicare number on May 17, 2008
  • We began with a small team and contracted all of our Physical Therapy
  • We moved to our current locationon February 1, 2009
  • We became JCAHO accredited on March 20, 2011

Page, Arizona

  • Opened our office on April 9, 2009
  • Received our license to operate as a Hospice & Home Health on February 11, 2010
  • Received our Hospice Medicare number on January 17, 2011, and our Home Health number on March 11, 2011
  • We became JCAHO accredited the same dates that we received our Medicare numbers

Zion's Way Intergrative Healing Arts Center

  • Incorporated on February 25, 2011
  • We offer several classes to the community and staff
  • We offer 28 different healing modalities and treatments at our center
  • The Healing Arts Center is a vision/dream that we had when we started the Hospice in 2005
